I love socks. They have to be special. But I rarely find any with patterns I enjoy! So this Christmas I decided to take advantage of the new arrivals on Z. (quality all-over-print socks) and create some Christmas socks myself 🙂
I wanted to make my designs both cute and funny, so I chose images of Santa and Rudolph that spoke to me in that way. Not something out of vintage illustrations but rather fun cartoons that show Rudolph a little tired from all the pulling and traveling, and Santa as mostly an adorable sweet old man’s face, with his white beard and red Christmas hat.
After toying a little with various designs, I realized I preferred using white and light gray in socks with a pattern, with green a close second. But you may like the green ones better! They’re certainly festive.
I made these fun holiday socks ostensibly for children (sizes are 5 and up), but I figure they would make great surprise Christmas gifts for adults as well! I can already imagine so many photo opportunities. And whether you decide to wear them only for one Christmas season or not, do know that they are comfy and stretchy and fun to wear—a great item to whip out any winter.
Enjoy!

I recognize myself in this funny Rudolph: tired and yet ready for Christmas, red pom pom hat on 🙂
And here’s a different Rudolph. This one is younger and sweet and super energetic, having felt little of the effort of running around for Santa’s gifts (when the elves were too tired and had to take a break) and then pulling at Santa’s sleigh through the snow.

And a fourth one, a version in green of the Santa-patterned pair shown above.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my designs 🙂 As always, pins/shares are much appreciated!
Have a great fall and winter season!
To a happier, healthier life,
