‘Fun Fact: I’m Retired’ Funny Retirement Tees and Mugs for Various Professions

Zazzle is a great playground, let me say that. It’s nice to be able to imagine designs and to see then that some people like them well enough to buy them for themselves and to gift them to other people. I’m encouraged every time I make a sale, and the kind of things that sell give me ideas for future products. So really, I can’t stop. It’s great to know that even in a small way I’m making products that some people choose to buy.

So, in that vein, given that people seem to search for funny retirement gifts, I created the Fun Fact: I’m Retired T-shirt series for various professions. Those of you who read my posts regularly may remember I used some of the symbolic objects—stethoscope, gearwheel, school bus, musical notes, etc.-—when I made funny retirement watches. Now I’m using these elements again as part of the Fun Fact: I’m Retired designs for T-shirts. You can never have enough T-shirts. And I say that as someone who doesn’t buy many items of clothing yearly. But T-shirts I have to have.

So I imagined they would make great fun and funny gifts for retirement parties. (They’re also cheaper than retiree watches.)

Writing this, I realized I might as well do funny retirement mugs too, since those are also quite useful and fun to have around. So I made retirement mugs for nine professions: bus driver, school bus driver, teacher, music teacher, pharmacist, mechanical engineer, medical assistant, construction worker, and restaurant waitstaff.

I created the tees and mugs to work as retirement gifts to coworkers, friends, and family, or as purchases by the retirees themselves. I made these mugs with various illustrations but the shopper can also swap those illustrations for a photo of the retiree, possibly with their team at work before retiring or with a photo from their retirement party.
