I created some retirement watches a while ago and sold some, so recently I’ve made a bunch more: for school bus drivers, C.P.A.s, art, biology, other science teachers, dance instructors, pharmacists, medical assistants, and various other professions.

As they say, if you’re looking for a fun, amusing retirement party gift, you’ve come to the right place.

What I did was first create a clock face for these watches, as the latter came completely blank. Then I made some of them with jumbled numbers at the bottom, because who really needs to pay attention to time in retirement? Well, the fact is, sometimes people do, as they may continue to have various appointments and meetings, which is why a clock with markings for hours and jumbled numbers at the bottom of the clock face does both tricks: you can tell the time while still having fun and enjoying the reminder of your retirement.

I also created pillows with “No Boss / No Problem” and “Goodbye Tension / Hello Pension” but people seem to prefer watches to accent pillows despite liking these slogans. So . . . I created a design with “No Boss / No Problem” for a retirement watch, to have a retirement keepsake with something of both these ideas.

I have inserted humor in these retirement watches to make it clear from the get-go that this is not an expensive keepsake but rather something that’s a lot of fun. Of course, some people may expect a really expensive watch and not have much of their sense of humor left when they’re gifted a $50 watch, but that’s another story 😀 So yeah, if you want to go for a gag gift for a coworker or friend, you could definitely choose one of these personalized retirement watches.
