Much as I try to keep a positive vibe during the holiday season and throughout the year in general, there’s no denying the harsh world we live in. We may try to avoid the news, but it’s hard to banish the thoughts of what other people may be going through. And then even if we’re busy with our own lives, the impact of what happens in the world hits us too in some way.
Not to mention that, as I keep hearing from more and more people, the pandemic shook us in ways we’re still recovering from psychologically, and now prices are up too and inflation made us poorer by quite a significant amount.
What to do then? Well, I started exercising in earnest—and it’s helping to keep the stress at bay. And not just any old exercise, but dancing while watching movies. I highly recommend it, especially if you love to dance š If you’re not much of a dancer, I hope you enjoy whatever workout you’re on already š Which is not to say that there aren’t many great workouts out there, because there certainly are. I just don’t seem to muster the energy and patience for them. But dancing really inspired me this holiday season.
I also started making happy Christmas cards with the line “‘Tis the Season for PAWSITIVE VIBES!” You can see them here.
But then a fellow blogger mentioned she particularly resonated with my “oh deer” cards, and you know what? she’s right. It may be the case that a great many people will go with “ruff year” and “oh deer what a year” cards this year too.
So here’s a selection from the “oh deer” Rudolph cards I created this year. And if you’re a dog owner, I have “oh dear, ANOTHER ruff year” cards too.
Enjoy!
Just to note, I created a number of different designs, to fit various numbers of photos.

Here’s a card with three photos. I think three pics, two horizontal and one vertical, are often the perfect image combo for people. This card has a short letter template on the back, along with an artsy Christmas tree.

And here’s the same card on an elegant golden background, this time with a long letter on the back.

Here are the versions for four photos, three vertical and one horizontal. Many people like to include more than three photos on their Christmas cards, so for this design I’m showing four options. The first card has a short letter on the back and an artsy version of a Christmas tree, the second one has a long letter, and the next two, on a golden background, have a short and then a long letter as well.

I also have a design for one photo.

This year I preferred square cards, but if you like rectangular cards better, I have one with two photos, also on white and on a golden background.
