Caroline Wozniacki is an inspiration. She withdrew from tennis in 2019, after winning the Australian Open in 2018 and then struggling with rheumatoid arthritis. I felt so bad for her. I had a piano teacher once who developed the same condition and it was painful to think about something like that befalling someone in her profession.
I didn’t follow Caro’s life story for a while, and then all of a sudden I heard she was back to tennis after getting married (to NBA star David Lee) and having two children (Olivia and James)! I don’t know what else has happened in the meantime, but last night she was quite a force on the tennis court. I am so happy for her. And I know that whatever it was she learned about her arthritis she will share. Hopefully, her story will help others as well.
Caro is an inspiration: she’s competitive (No. 1 for 71 weeks in 2010 and 2011) and never gives up. She’s also amazing in that after three and a half years away from the circuit she played her sixth match last night as if she’d never left the tour.
I was also blown away by how well our own Sorana Cirstea (world No. 30) played against Grand Slam winner (Wimbledon 2022) Elena Rybakina (world No. 4).
Here are some designs to honor Caro and Sori, along with all the determined tennis players and fighters out there!
NB: I had initially written 3.5 years in the title, but since I wrote it that way with numbers, I checked that info again and the exact time Caro was away from the tennis tour is actually 3.8 years!

I also made a design for personalized tennis balls—which make for a great birthday or Christmas gift!
And two bodysuits for future tennis champions!
