You’ve probably seen my designs with coral reef fish and animals, butterflies, and horses. I created various items with them, including, with the coral reef photo collage and the butterflies, shower curtains.
And today I thought of transferring some of the images on tote bags. They could make great gifts for preteens and teens, as well as for adults. I gifted one such tote bag to a friend of mine and she takes it with her whenever she and her family go on a trip. Says it’s sturdy and the perfect size for packing various items to take to the beach, for instance.
So here are some tote bags. Enjoy! π

Here’s the first one. The collage includes photos of organisms such as: nudibranch / sea slugs (order Nudibranchia), including Chromodoris nudibranch, parrotfish (family Scaridae), yellow tang fish (Zebrasoma flavescens), sea anemone (order Actiniaria), clownfish (order Perciformes), orange-lined and clown triggerfish (family Balistidae), lionfish / dragonfish / butterfly cod (Pterois), miniatus grouper / coral grouper / coral hind (Cephalopholis miniata), jewelled blenny (Salarias fasciatus), sergeant major fish (Abudefduf saxatilis), copperband and lemon butterflyfish (family Chaetodontidae), sea turtles (order Testudines), seahorse (Hippocampus), octopus, crab (infraorder Brachyura), starfish / sea star (class Asteroidea), and many varieties of coral (class Anthozoa). A design for those who appreciate the biodiversity of coral reefs, and for all lovers of oceans and seas who wish to learn more about marine life as well as raise awareness about the dangers posed too coral reefs, these ecosystems which help survive a quarter of the ocean’s organisms.
The second tote bag includes a collage of butterflies, among them the Old World swallowtail (Papilio machaon), yellow, black, blue, and red; the peacock butterfly (Aglais io), red with colorful round spots; the black-and-blue blue tiger butterfly (Tirumala limniace), the buckeye butterfly (genus Junonia), brown with colorful round spots; and the fritillary butterfly, yellow with black spots.
The third tote bag is for horse riders, each one of them a Horse Whisperer Extraordinaire.
And now some funny totes from other designers on Zazzle π

I wish I had thought of these quotes. I’m pretty good with slogans, but I seem to have focused my energies on coffee and tea slogans. Time to expand a little, I guess.
Here’s a simple design that is, nevertheless, rather effective.

This next one has me think of something librarians would gift to kids, but it may resonate with some bookworms, even though it’s not what I’d call cool π But some people may like it precisely because it’s campy.

And a personal favorite, despite the library card(s):
