There’s a thing about posters with nature photos that is uplifting on its own. And then when you add an inspirational quote, the poster gets to a whole new level of compelling.
The thing about the Serenity Prayer is, you don’t really wrap your mind around its words the first time you read it. Maybe not even the tenth or hundredth time. I noticed that with other, more involved, Christian prayers too. The Serenity quote looks pretty simple, but internalizing it is a different issue. Like the more difficult to parse pious Christian recitations mentioned above, the “God, grant me the serenity” stanza is meant to grow on you through repetition. Which is why nature posters with these words are a great combination. You can put these prints on your door, or on a bedroom wall somewhere, or in the kitchen in lieu of a calendar (since your phone reminds you quite often what the day is—and what your weekly and monthly calendar looks like).
I love great photographs and remember how in the pre-internet days I used to keep some old calendars, or cut out their photos, because I loved large stunning nature views. Luckily these days it’s harder to get such views—and better ones—and Zazzle offers a wonderful design platform where you can put together collages of image and text to enhance the qualities of both. I feel that my Serenity Prayer posters are such items.
Also, please note that the first four-line stanza of the Serenity Prayer is customizable, so if you have another favorite four-line quote, you can use that one on these posters—just click on Personalize. To accommodate that option, I redid most of my posters customizing the text to be able to allow for a wider inspirational quote than the current one. I also customized the word S E R E N I T Y (written with a space—from the space bar—between the letters) to accommodate a longer word. It can now go up to the edges of the photo, just like the four-line quote.
Here are some of these motivational nature posters. I hope you’ll enjoy them.
Please note that the text is crisp on the actual posters (you can see that on the respective Zazzle page if you click on any one of the images).
